Tree Propagation Workshop

The Tacoma Tree Foundation is hosting a hardwood cuttings propagation workshop at the City of Tacoma nursery at the Tacoma Transfer Station on January 21st from 10 AM to 1PM.

The objective of this workshop is to provide an overview of how to propagate hardwood cuttings, with activities demonstrating how to harvest, prepare, and plant the cuttings. Participants will be able to take home some of their cuttings for use in their own gardens, with the rest of the cuttings being potted for TTF to share with the community.

This workshop is aimed at anyone interested in how to propagate native hardwood species in our area, specifically Thimbleberry and Red Flowering Currant. No prior experience is necessary, but please bring your own gloves and hand pruners if you have them; otherwise, those will be provided for you.

Parking is available in the main parking area near the solid waste facility offices, at 3510 S Mullen St, Tacoma, WA 98409

Please feel tree to share this flier with your friends, family, and neighbors!
