Join us for a hike at Swan Creek on December 17th to learn about western redcedar and participate in two research projects. Dr. Joey Hulbert from the WSU Puyallup Research and Extension Center will lead a hike to share information and collect soil samples around western redcedar trees in the Swan Creek ravine. Afterward we will visit the western redcedar planting near the bike trails to take measurements and pull weeds for the climate adaptation study.

Location: We will meet next to the dog park (map below) which is located immediately uphill (south) of Lister Elementary, and accessed via T Street.
