Exploring North End Super Specimens

Join us on this summer walk through University of Puget Sound campus and its surrounding neighborhood. We’ll get to see some remarkable trees and consider the difference between street and campus habitats. 

After the walk, be sure to join the North End Neighborhood Council meeting at 6:00PM.

Meeting point: Sequoia by the Student Union Rotunda

Ending point: Wilson Welcome Center

Speaker Bio

Jess Stone is an ISA arborist and the Natural Lands Steward for Pierce County Parks, and was the founding Board President of the Tacoma Tree Foundation. She has over 20 years of experience working in the open spaces and urban forests of the Puget Sound and central California. Work or play, you’ll find her hiking trails and digging in the dirt.
