Volunteer Work Party at the Plant Holding Facility

Get hands-on and support our mission by volunteering at the Plant Holding Facility. We will work behind the scenes and perform site and tree maintenance. Ranging from weeding to light construction, we’ll help grow Tacoma’s canopy by taking care of the small things. Surrounded by native and climate adaptive plants, you will see the beginnings of Tacoma’s growing canopy. 

Parking is off-site with a volunteer shuttle. Tools, gloves, PPE, snacks and beverages will be provided.

You will be emailed with more details the week before the event. And as always! Thank you for supporting Tacoma’s greening efforts. 

Register by July 20, 2026 and receive a registration confirmation email by July 24, 2026 with more details about parking and shutting. The event is capped at 20 to make sure everyone can participate. Please let us know you’re coming by registering! 

Accessibility Notes:

We’ll be working outside for approximately four hours. Attendees of all abilities are welcome to join and we provide accommodations. Please dress in long pants and closed toed shoes. Bring sun and rain protection, a water bottle, and anything else you need.
