Making Comics in the Era of Climate Change with José Alaniz

The forest trails might feel drier, the sidewalks hotter, the winters too wet or not cold enough. As our climate changes, so does our experience of home. Our senses–sight, sound, scent, and touch–might be on alert or disoriented. How do we make sense of all this? Making comics offers the opportunity to share our climate change stories by bringing text and image together. In this hands-on workshop with comics artist and media scholar, José Alaniz, we will learn how comics artists are making sense of climate change through their work, and create and share our experiences by making a strip of our own!  Join us at the beautiful Blue Cactus Press store and space for this fun and serious workshop!

This event is capped at 20.

Location: Blue Cactus Press. Tioga Building, 1901 Jefferson Ave Office #105, Tacoma, WA 98402
