Walk with us and get to know McKinley Hill in a different way! Come appreciate winter beauty through this neighborhood’s beautiful evergreens, which include amazing Western redcedars and Doug-firs, and wonder at the texture of birch tree bark. We will find out if McKinley’s Katsura tree, also known as “cake tree” for the sweet smell of its leaves in the fall, still smells like sugar in winter. This walk will also be a chance to learn about street trees and their benefits, what it means to plant the right tree in the right place, and how trees help us connect with each other. Join us!
Our walks are held rain or shine!
